DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE NEW VERSION OF WHATSAPP AND THE PREVIOUS ONE:
When moving a conversation from right to left, in the new version more options appear than before, as you can see in the following image:
CHATS SETTINGS are now called CHATS AND CALLS and offer us the same options plus the new function to save data on calls LOWER DATA USE. We must activate this new option if we want to reduce the data consumption in the calls we make from Whatsapp. It is advisable to do it when we use the data rate. If we are with WI-FI, it is not necessary to activate it.
In the NOTIFICATION SETTINGS, there have also been slight modifications, as you can see in the following image :
When scrolling from right to left, one of our chats, we see that the DELETE option has disappeared, which has been added to the MORE menu.
If we move a chat from left to right, a new function appears, which allows us to MARK AS READ, or not, a conversation. This option will allow us, with a stroke of the pen, to eliminate the zillions of messages that we sometimes find ourselves in groups and that we are not going to read.
Within a chat, if we click on the name of the person or group, information about it appears. As you can see, many more options and information have been added in the new version, which will even allow us to put a certain sound in each of the chats, to differentiate one from the other just by hearing the assigned tone.
In addition to this, we must also highlight the possibility of adding videos to our backup copies. This couldn't be done before and we finally have this feature available.
Another thing worth mentioning is that now, in any chat we are in, we no longer have to press the cumbersome "LOAD MESSAGES" button. Now, automatically, it shows all the previous messages.
What do you think of the new Whatsapp? For us, except for the function of reducing data consumption in calls and the possibility of assigning a different todo to each conversation, everything else is fine, but we don't think it's very noteworthy.
