In this presentation, we have had 3 sections, they have talked about OSX, iOS and finally the Apple Watch. We will focus mainly on iOS and Apple Watch, although we will also mention some of the new features of OSX, now known as OSX El Capitan.

The truth is that Apple disappointed many people in its last Keynote, but we are sure that in the latter it has left many of them speechless, and as we have mentioned, the news in terms of software are numerous.

ALL THE NEWS FROM WWDC 2015

OSX El Capitan

As we have said, now OSX is renamed El Capitan, it is the name they have chosen for the new version of computers. Its novelties are also several, especially at the software level, it improves performance and a lot.

The new features of this operating system are the following:

  • Safari has the ability to play music from the navigation bar, as well as tabs.
  • News in the Spotlight.
  • Greater system stability and speed.
  • A new typography (San Francisco).
  • Visual improvements in native apps like Mail or Safari.

iOS 9

As for our mobile devices, we have seen many new features, the most notable being the arrival of iOS 9 with all its arsenal of improvements.

These improvements are based mainly on software, thus improving stability, thanks to the correction of bugs from iOS 8 .

These are the most outstanding news:

  • Maps improvements, adding public transport information to many of the cities. We all know that appeal maps are heavily criticized and that they are way below expectations. Hopefully in this new version and with the bug fixes, this has changed.
  • Lots of news regarding Siri. As the main novelty, we have Proactive Assistan that notifies us of flights, traffic, as well as an improvement in the interface, which will attract our attention.
  • Spotlight. Improved from top to bottom, they have managed to create an intelligent Spotlight that is even capable of searching for a phone number that we don't have in our contact list.
  • Improvements in the Notes app. In the purest Evernote style, Notes allows us to make annotations, implement photographs, change the type of letters
  • New news app. An application similar to the RSS or FEED clients that we have in the APP STORE. We can choose the sources of information we want, to have all the news, from each medium, in the same app.
  • For iPad FINALLY, the MULTI WINDOW is here. We can use two apps on the screen. A great improvement that we have been longing for.
  • On iPad we can also watch videos on a small screen, and customizable in size, while we work in other apps.
  • Apple Pay is finally coming to the UK from July, but once again, this service is somewhat limited.
  • New font for iOS 9, as with OSX El Capitan, the new font is San Francisco, thus giving us a much cleaner display.
  • iOS 9 will be available from iPhone 4S onwards, from iPad 2 onwards, and on 5th generation iPod Touches.

These have been all the novelties that Apple has presented to us for its new operating system and that we are crazy to try.

Apple Watch

Taking into account that they recently presented the update for this device, the innovations that they have presented have been few and the vast majority of them have been focused on third-party applications, of which they have said that by the end of year they will become part of the native applications of the device.

Also, as we already knew, it will be available in Spain from June 26, 2015.

Apple Music

Apple's new music service is here and we'll have it on our devices with the release of iOS 8.4 (on June 30). They have made a total change to the music app and now we will have the possibility to listen to music in Streaming.

Unlike what happens with Spotify, there will be no free version, although we will have a 3-month trial period, once this trial period passes, you will have a monthly cost of €9.99. A total and revolutionary change by Apple .

So far Apple's June 2015 Keynote, as you have seen, many new software features, leaving us much faster and more efficient devices. And we highlight that iOS 9 will be available on the vast majority of devices, which makes us see that this new system is very well adapted.
