The first thing we have to do is enter the settings of our device. Here we will go to the General/Usage/Manage Storage section. We look for the app we are talking about and see how much space it occupies on our device.

We do this to make the comparison once we have finished. Now we go to Google Maps and go directly to the settings, for this we click on the 3 horizontal lines that appear in the search engine.

When the menu is displayed, click on "Settings",that appears right at the end of this menu.

When entering settings, we will now have to go to the section "Information, conditions and privacy". From where we will see the version, app information.

We will see 3 sections, but the one we are interested in is the last one «Terms and privacy». So we click on this last tab. And a last menu will appear with several options, among which is "Clear application data".

By clicking on this last option, we will delete all the data that we have saved in the app and therefore we will free up space, a space that will be reflected in the memory of our device. In this way, we can free up space in the Google Maps app, in a very simple way.
