WHY IS TVSOFA DISAPPEARING?
The reasons for their disappearance are explained to us in a statement they have published on their blog and which we transcribe below:
«With more than 80,000 users in total and with an average of 10,000 active users per day, thanks to all of you, TVSofa has become one of the reference apps on iOS when it comes to accessing series information and movies. We have reached the TOP 1 of the entire Spanish App Store on several occasions and most of the time we have been among the top 10 positions in the Entertainment category.Well, the time has come to say goodbye to TVSofa as we know it now.
As many of you know, the Government of this country has approved with a majority (only that of the Popular Party) the reform of the Intellectual Property Law that, among other things, criminalizes links with fines of up to 600,000 euros and prison sentences and which has already caused the indefinite closure of Google News Spain and the removal of links on pages such as Series.ly.
As I suppose you understand, "we are not going to play it" and WE ARE GOING TO REMOVE TVSOFA from the App Store ON DECEMBER 30, 2014, until that date it will continue to be available totally FREE as it has been this last month So if you or a friend of yours haven't downloaded it yet, run and download it now, fools!
We want to record our TOTAL REJECTION of this Law. The PEOPLE'S PARTY is once again creating meaningless laws and only for a few.Distributors and producers of movies and series have to realize once and for all that the future is on the Internet and not on DVDs, just as other sectors such as music are already doing. We are sure that a model like this would work perfectly in this country right now.
But everything doesn't end here At the end of January and beginning of February 2015 we will launch another app very similar to TVSofa but without showing direct links to content. With this app you will be able to manage your entire Series.ly catalog just as you have been able to do with TVSofa, as well as other very interesting features that we will tell you about later.
VERY IMPORTANT: TVSofa will continue to work on your devices as before, the only thing is that we will no longer update or be available for purchase in the App Store from December 30, 2014Video Web Downloader, our other companion app to TVSofa will continue to be available on the App Store worldwide.

We can't do anything before the fatal outcome and from APPerlas we thank the creators of this application, for having made us enjoy, like no other, our favorite series and movies.
We are waiting for new apps from the creative team of TVSOFA. If they release any new app, don't doubt that we will tell you.
