Now we have a new version loaded with numerous new features that improve its usability.
WHATSAPP UPDATE NEWS:
Here you have the list of improvements received by Whatsapp in version 2.11.9:
- New functionality to archive chats and groups: From the screen where we see all our chats, we move to the left and clicking on the "MORE" option will give us the possibility to archive the chat. This will make us remove the chat from our conversations screen but we will not leave the group or conversation.
- New functionality to add a comment to photos and videos: Add comments at the bottom of the photos or videos you send. Once you choose or capture the snapshot you will have the option to write a comment about it.
- New quick access button to take and send photos: New quick access button to capture photos.
- You can share videos in slow motion (iPhone 5S only).
- You can trim videos before sharing them: Great move. Now we can edit the duration of the video from the same app. Capture the video and before sharing it you can crop it as you wish.
- Location Sharing: Satellite & Hybrid Support: Choose whether to send a location with a map, satellite, or hybrid view. Choose the one that best suits the information you want to share.
- Share location: allows you to move the marker to share an exact location: FINALLY!!! We can now edit the location and manually mark our EXACT position. We will select the option, which we indicate in the following image, and we will be able to move the map to locate the perfect location.
- New options for multimedia auto-download: Settings > Chat settings > Multimedia auto-download
A large number of new features that will surely help us a lot to get more juice out of this well-known instant messaging app.
What we have seen is that THERE ARE NO NEW TONES OR NEW BACKGROUNDS. We have been looking and re-looking and we have not seen a trace of new sounds or new images. Surely, soon, we will have a new version adding these new features.
Another thing that we highlight is that, FINALLY!!!, we will be able to silence the groups ONE YEAR.
