Watch your caffeine levels change throughout the day as you drink coffee, energy drinks, and even chocolate. UP Coffee will tell you when you're at your peak and how long it will take you to wash off the caffeine and enter rest mode.
Throughout the use of this app, you will get to know yourself a little more and it will help you learn the effect that the doses of caffeine you ingest each day have on you.
INTERFACE:
When entering the app for the first time, it will give us the possibility to register on the platform, which we will do or not, since we will be able to use the application without registering. We recommend doing so to never lose our records and have a record of everything we add to the app.
The main screen of UP Coffee is the following (Click or move the cursor over the white circles to learn more about the interface) :
HOW CAFFEINE AFFECTS YOUR ORGANISM:
Before starting to use the app, we must enter our data and configure our profile so that the results provided by the application are more reliable. To do this we will access the « SETTINGS » menu, located in the upper left part of the main screen, and we will add our gender, height, kg, sensitivity to caffeine
With that done, it's time to start entering data on our caffeine intake for the day. We will do this by pressing the "+" button, which appears in the upper right part of the main screen, and we choose the type of drink and the mg that we drink.
This will cause brown balloons to be added to the main screen in the large jar with blue dots. The brown dots represent caffeine. Every time we consume a product that contains caffeine, it must be added manually through a list of drinks, supplements, sweets and common medicines, in this way more brown dots will be poured into it.
If you see the brown dots tremble, this represents the jitters that could be obtained with too much caffeine.
Over time, the brown spots of caffeine begin to fade as the caffeine is eliminated from our system.
On the right side of the bottle we see two thresholds, the one marked when the user could get a pleasant sleep « SLEEP READY » and on the upper part another one that marks us as being at the top «WIRED».
We also see on both sides of the neck of the container two elements that inform us of our current state, the one on the left and that is circular, and the hours or minutes we have left to return to a caffeine level with which we can fall asleep, the viewer that appears to the right and that if we press it will show us more information.
At the bottom we have a menu with which we can see graphs, history of caffeine intake, a personal study of how it affects us, etc
Here we pass you a video in which you can see the interface and operation of the app:
OUR OPINION ABOUT UP COFFEE:
Up Coffee is far from being a medical grade tool, but it does provide us with a generic view of how caffeine affects each person.
We have tested it for a few days and the truth is that, in our case, the experience has been satisfactory, although we have to say that having to enter the data by hand is a bit annoying.
To solve this, the Jawbone team also provides you with the possibility of expanding the experience with “the UP system” (bracelet + application + user) that will help understand the way you sleep, move and eat to make decisions “more smart.”
We encourage you to try it, although we remember that it is entirely in English. With it we can learn more about our relationship with caffeine and how it affects rest and our nervousness.
