But since nothing can be done anymore, until the release of iOS 8, we are going to teach you how to get the most out of it, explaining step by step all the functions and sections it has.
The truth is that by making a good configuration, we can have a more productive notification center that is more focused on our needs.
HOW TO CONFIGURE THE NOTIFICATION CENTER ON IOS
To start with this configuration, we must go to the settings of our device, as most times we want to configure something in iOS .
Once inside, we must look for the "Notifications Center" section and access it. Here we are going to find a large number of sections and applications, that is why we are going to go part by part.
In the first section, we find the menu for «Access with locked screen». Here we are going to configure what we want to see with the locked screen, that is, what if we want to see the notification center without having to unlock the device (swiping down, just like being unlocked).
As we can see, within this section, we have 2 options:
- View notifications : We can activate this option if we want to see notifications, while the screen is locked (see in the notification center).
- Today's display : We can activate this option, if we want to see today's section while the screen is locked, that is, we slide the notification center and we can see this section no need to unlock.
These are the options that we can modify while the screen is locked.
In the next section, we find the menu for "Today's View". Here we can configure everything we want to see or not, in the "Today" section , which appears in the notification center.
We also have several options, which we can modify to our liking:
- Today's summary : In this section, everything that we have programmed for today (alarm, calendar) will not appear in a brief summary.
- Next destination : This option, which is a bit lost, is used to tell you how long it will take you to reach your next destination (includes the places you frequent recently). Personally, it has only worked for us when we have left our city, which indicates the time it would take us to return.
- Display by day : This section is more detailed than the "today's summary", we will have a mini calendar with today's day (by hours).
- Reminders : All the reminders that we have scheduled for today will appear, and those that have already passed and we have not done will also appear.
- Stock : Here is a small summary of the shares on the stock market, without a doubt a section that should be eliminated
- Tomorrow's summary : This section is very similar to "today's summary", but with the next day's summary.
As we always say, everyone configures their iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch as they deem necessary.
If we continue further down, we find another section, in which we can configure how we want notifications to appear. We have two options:
- Sort manually : We can choose which notifications we want to appear before.
- Sort chronologically : They will be ordered as we receive notifications.
In the case of choosing manually, we just have to click on the "edit" button that appears at the top right and select the application that we want to put first or put later.
And finally we come to the “Include” section. In this section, we will choose the applications that we want to have in the notification center and from which we want to receive notifications. Depending on how we configure this section, we can save battery or the opposite. We already explained how we use this section, if you want to see it, go to HERE .
Just below this section, we find the applications from which we can receive notifications, but which we have not wanted to include in our notification center. In this way, we will receive alerts, strips and balloons but we will not receive anything in the notification center.
And so, we can configure the notification center in iOS, and get much more out of it than it currently has.
We hope that with this tutorial, you will configure this section much better and you can get the most out of it.
