Today we bring you the APPerlas of Sergio Navas.

We spoke with the founder of iSenaCode, without a doubt an interview that we had been waiting for a long time. In it, Sergio Navas shows us all of his app, as well as his impressions regarding his and Apple's future.

Then we leave you with the interview conducted:

Where did the iSenaCode project come from? What is this name due to?

The truth is that when I came to the world of Apple I started listening to a lot of podcasts and I got the itch to record something.I have always thought that we all have something to tell and contribute to the world, it could be our experiences or simply our hobbies, for this reason, and with the intention of making a podcast, I started the iSenaCode blog. Net . The idea was to have a space to collect all the podcasts, but I also saw the need to do something else and I started writing technology news, app reviews and Cydia tweaks .

Over time I thought it would be a good idea to complement the articles with demonstrative videos, to provide that added value to the reader and differentiate myself from other bloggers. I have always liked Apple's philosophy: "Think different", although it was not until a few years ago that I discovered its essence. Thus, the iSenaCode TV channel was born. Over time I started to like Youtube more and I dedicated more efforts to it than to the blog .

Thanks to Youtube I met a lot of interesting people and now I can call friends, I want to highlight @ EduMac70 on Twitter, who wanted to meet me because he was a follower of the channel. We both had many things in common and, half jokingly, we decided to finally make a podcast: “DuoMac”. At first everything was going smoothly, we even reached the Top 1 on iTunes for many weeks. Currently at DuoMac we are not as active as at the beginning but we publish 2 or 3 episodes per month.

Also thanks to Youtube I met Javi Ramos, who you already had here ;-), he was a fervent follower of the channel and lover of Jailbreak. We talked a lot on Line and I was surprised at how much of a tinkerer he was and how knowledgeable he was with jailbreaking. At that time I wanted to resume the blog, write daily because I just couldn't create so much content on all fronts, so I proposed to Javi that he write in iSenaCode. Today and after more than 1 year being colleagues and friends, I can be sure that it was one of the best decisions I have made for iSenaCode. Then many people became interested in the project and little by little I was selectively recruiting editors for the blog, I did not want just anyone to write in iSenaCode and above all I have been very picky with the format and quality of the articles. I believe that in blogging you have to create unique content and for this you have to provide added value to stand out from the rest, that's why I insist so much that we write not only what happens in the geek world, but also our experiences, impressions and the why of each thing for us. In this way we are unique, because we capture part of our ideas in our articles. Or, at least, we tried ?

There came a time when there were many of us in iSenaCode and I wanted each one to have their space, their moment, his presence, for all the members of iSenaCode to be known. So the reader could get an idea of who was telling the things in each article. In this way, it occurred to me to create a daily podcast, where every day some of us would tell some news or technological experiences and that in the end we would be a group, that iSenaCode would be known as such. Thus, the SenaCast Daily podcast was born.

I'm already taking a long time, I know, but this doesn't end here. We still do more things :), recently we have opened a forum to create a closer community and to help everyone who needs it. The forums have been created by my friend and colleague Alberto Garayoa. @Artzain, as he is known on social media, is our Saturday podcaster at SenaCast Daily .

Regarding the name of iSenaCode, I have to admit that after thinking about it a lot one day I woke up with that name in my head, call it destiny or obsession but when it occurred to me it was clear to me :). The name is a very personal composition, I have always wanted to leave my mark on the web, contribute my little grain of sand in this 2.0 ocean, so it seemed to me the appropriate name: The first "i" represents me in English, "Sena" is Sergio Navas (my name) and "Code" represents code, because in world 2.0 everything is done with instructions and code.

We saw you at MWC14, what caught your attention the most?

Well, it was quite an experience to be able to attend MWC14, although I'm afraid it was a bit too big for us. It was the first time we went and of course we paid for the hazing. But we already have things clearer and next year we will know how to act much better :). In the end we were able to cover everything that was most important and especially the star of the event, the Galaxy S5.

What caught my attention the most was the size of the smartphone screens, as an iPhone user many times I have defended that the iPhone screen is fine, but perhaps we let ourselves be infected by all those screens and we went out with the idea that indeed the iPhone should take steroids and grow a little. We'll see what the guys from Cupertino surprise us with, but this year it's time for a design change and they could take the opportunity to put a larger screen.

Do you keep track of your projects on your iPhone? If so, what apps do you use for it?

Well, look, I've tried several productivity applications and I firmly believe that simplicity is what brings me the most productivity. There are apps where the learning curve is too long and it seems that you never get to know 100% of these types of apps, so after a lot of testing I mostly stick with the native iOS apps. We use several shared lists from the native “Reminders” app and I use the native “Notes” app a lot to prepare the scripts or ideas. There are other better and more complete ones, but the integration of these apps between Mac and iOS is unmatched.

For appointments or events I really like to use the Fantastical calendar, it's a delight and incomparable ?

In the end, we have so many things that we need to go a little further and have: spreadsheets, documents, etc. That's why we use Google Drive a lot, we have a shared folder where we have all the resources, meeting minutes, apps pending analysis and everything related to iSenaCode. The official Google Drive app is perfect.

Which is the best Podcast manager for you? And the best Twitter client?

We have so many alternatives on iOS that it's hard to answer, for podcasts I use Instacast and I have to admit that it doesn't seem the best to me, but it works very well for me. Instacast has a good performance, it does not use more battery than normal and the best synchronization between devices. Although it is by no means the one with the most options and the playlists are not very configurable. In any case, for the use that I give it, it is perfect.

Regarding Twitter I have tried the official one, Twitterrific and Tweetbot . All of them are excellent and they all already have the same options, before there were more differences but now they only differ in the interface.I recommend them all, although right now I have returned to Tweetbot and I admit that it has the most beautiful interface of all ?

If you could only install 5 non-native apps, what would they be?

Only five? hehehe, for me it is difficult because I am a lover of apps but trying hard here it goes: – Tweetbot: Twitter client – Youtube: to see my favorite channels? – Newsify : News Reader – Instacast : Podcast player – ProCamera 7: The best photography app, without a doubt ?

Which tweaks would you like Apple to incorporate in a future iOS?

I must admit that I am also a lover of Jailbreak and Cydia tweaks, I don't like customization themes because native iOS seems exquisite to me, but there are many tweaks that I notice that make me more productive. Something that I would like the Jailbreak to implement are gestures and tweaks such as: Activator or MultitaskingGestures seem essential to perform quick actions with finger gestures.

I also feel that the control center is a great idea but it has to mature a lot, here I would implement CCControls to vitaminize the option activation/deactivation toggles or the new Polus, to put shortcuts to my most used apps . Regarding performance, I feel that iOS 7 is slower than usual and the transitions are in slow motion, that's why the NoSlowAnimations tweak seems essential to me to feel all the power of my iPhone ?

In the social era we are living in, it is essential to be able to write comfortably and for this I use SwipeSelection . It is a tweak that allows you to move the cursor with gestures on the keyboard and thus be able to edit what is written more quickly.

What do you expect from Apple in 2014 and especially from the next iPhone 6?

I think this is going to be one of the years where Apple marks, again, a turning point. Regarding the iPhone, I expect little, only a new design and a larger screen, I feel that 4.7 inches would be perfect. But let's face it, we can hardly innovate in a smartphone anymore.

Even so, there are other product ranges that need a revolution already, such as TV and the next AppleTV should mark the turning point between conventional TV and the new digital age. With the addition of an App Store it would be enough and let the developers and platforms do the rest ?

Quantifying bracelets seem to be all the rage, so this must be the year of the iWatch. Although it is very late and I hope that Apple gives a twist to what is known, as they usually do.

After the interview, we show you the APPerlas :
