If you had an iPhone where you could only install 5 apps, apart from the native ones, what would they be?
With the native ones I would have covered the basic communication options such as messages or calls, so I will opt for other tools. First of all a content manager in the cloud like dropbox , box or google drive . Having all your essential documents from anywhere I think is vital.
Secondly a task manager. A Clear or similar that allows me to write down the fifty thousand things that go through my head throughout the day and not forget any of them.
I would also add a Podcast manager, so as not to lose thread of my favorite programs.
Fourthly, a password manager like 1Password or MScure to keep all my private data safe and not have problems.
Lastly, and not exactly in this order Spotify , so I can enjoy my favorite songs for hours without interruption.
What app have you downloaded lately that has amazed you?
PDF Expert . I had heard and read a lot about it and had always been tempted to buy it but in the end I never made up my mind. I finally did it and I have been able to see how easy it is to manage your documents with it and how you can take advantage of its tools to turn your Tablet into a perfect study tool. No more paper.
A feed reader?
For a matter of fidelity I prefer Pulse .It was one of the first feed managers I met and the truth is that its simplicity captivated me immediately. After two years, it's still my favorite feed manager and I supplement it with just Flipboard , which I really like as well.
A Podcast manager?
Believe me when I tell you that I've tried all of them, or almost all of them. I have been going from one to the other always looking for each one to contribute something more than what I had already tried in the previous ones. When TwitBlogCast came out, I had the opportunity to meet its developer, Miguel Bermejo, and be able to contribute ideas that he incorporated into his application. Since the renewed application for iOS 7 has been launched, it is the only one I use, since it covers my needs very well and I managed to sign the programmer to Apple 5×1, which must also be said.
A productivity app for work?
Hard question. Possibly more than 80% of the apps I have on my iPad or work phone are in this category.Perhaps, in my case, the one I use the most is Evernote . Once you get the hang of its mechanics and start using the notebook system and sorting notes, it's really powerful. Its ease of access from any device with an internet connection makes it highly recommended.
Which game would you recommend?
I'm a big console gamer, but on the phone or iPad I haven't been able to get too hooked on any of them. I played through to the end of Plants vs. Zombies and then I jumped into the farm world of Hay Day and threw myself into achieving as many goals as I could . Now I rarely play, but I like strategy games most of all. Daily I am bombarded with requests to join the Candy Crush which seems to be the trend, but until today I have resisted the temptation. I won't say it too loud.
