We have been using the new APPerla PREMIUM for a few weeks now and we are delighted with it. It works like a charm and is very well structured. It has a clean interface that makes the application very easy to use and we love it.
This does not mean that DOWNCAST is a bad podcast management app, for us it is still a great app and we recommend its use. Also, if you don't want to spend the 3, 59€ that POCKET CASTS costs, you have the option of downloading DOWNCAST for 2, 69€ and thus save0, 90€ .The functionality is the same.
WHY POCKET CASTS IS THE BEST PODCAST MANAGER FOR US:
We simply praise POCKET CASTS for its interface and for how well structured it is. It is very easy to configure it (you can go through our TUTORIAL) and manage the podcasts you follow. Everything is very well configured and it does not give the feeling that it does, for example, DOWNCAST when configuring and managing your favorite podcasts, which is something more "overwhelming".
When it comes to syncing and downloading new podcasts, we've noticed that Pocket Casts is somewhat faster than Downcast . This is all because the new Premium app monitors your feeds from its own server and not from the same device, as Downcast can do.
Both apps are in English, so we cannot highlight either of them because of the language that runs on their interface.
As for the price, Pocket Casts are more expensive than Downcast, but if you are a podcast devourer and you can afford it, we recommend that you pay that extra €0.90.
These are the reasons that we believe are more than enough to dethrone DOWNCAST from the throne of PREMIUM APPerlas and elevate POCKET CAST.
