Now that we are in « General «, look for the tab that says « Code lock » and click on it.
In the event that we have entered a code, it will ask us to enter the code to access this option. If, on the other hand, we do not have any code, we will access automatically.
Once inside this menu, several options will appear, among which we can:
- Deactivate code (if you have one active).
- Change code (in the case of having a code and we want to change it for another one).
- Request (this is to choose when we want you to ask us for the code).
- Simple code (to choose a simple code or a non-numeric code).
- Voice dialing (Use this option without entering a code).
- Siri (Use this option without entering a code).
- Passbok (Use this option without entering a code).
- Reply with a message (Use this option without entering a code).
- Delete data (activating this option will delete all data after wrong code 10 times).
What we are interested in is the "Simple code" option, this option is checked by default, so we will have to uncheck it to be able to enter a non-numeric code.
Once we have unchecked it, it will ask us to enter our unlock code (if we have one) or directly to enter the new code (this new code can be longer than 4 digits).
When we have entered the code, click on Next and it will tell us to enter the new code again. We enter it once more and we will have the code activated.
And in this way, we can make the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch more secure, something that will surely come in handy for more than one.
