Today we are going to give you our opinion of iOS 7, after having been testing it thoroughly for two days.
PROS AND CONS OF OUR OPINION OF IOS 7:
- PROS:
We love how quickly everything flows. We see it much more agile than the previous version of iOS.
Its new design allows us to customize, with different colors, the different lock and home screens. By changing the wallpaper, the entire operating system will go with it by changing the color of folders, dock, notification center and just for the fact of changing the wallpaper.Depending on the colors that predominate in it, this will be the color of the different components of the screen. In addition, the sensation of depth is obvious every time we turn the device and see how the wallpaper changes perspective in relation to the icons, folders, lock clock
The new interface of the reel of photos, in addition to classifying the photographs by date, now also does so by location, grouping the snapshots taken in the same location.
The interface of the camera has made us fall in love. Now everything is more intuitive and with fewer touches we can configure the camera to take the photo as we want. The new option of live filters is the bomb!!!.
The Control Center is one of the new features that we liked the most.By moving your finger from the bottom of the screen to the top, we will have direct access to basic functions that we use normally and that will avoid us the tortuous action of navigating through the "SETTINGS" of the device.
The Multitasking should also be highlighted. Now it is much more visual and intuitive. It's nice to take a walk through the applications in the background and see the screenshots in which you have left the apps open.
We like the new design of the APP STORE much more than the previous one, but what really catches our attention is the speed at which it works. We still don't believe it!!!
The MESSAGES, MAIL, MAPS, WEATHER apps have also greatly improved their interface. Now everything is more orderly and accessible, don't you think?
- CONS:
Not everything is going to be good. Here we give you our opinion of iOS 7 on the bugs that we have detected.
The first thing to mention is the serious security flaw that it suffers, with which we can bypass the lock screen code and access our photos and then publish them on different social networks .
Regarding the design, there are native application icons that are quite hideous, such as the SETTINGS, GAME CENTER, COMPASS app, for example, they don't match the minimalist design of the other icons at all. They look overloaded.
While we have been using this new iOS we have suffered several "crashes", especially when we have messed with the SETTINGS options. Touching options of , Location , Use the device has immediately closed the screen in which we were and has returned us to the home screen.
Also, on our iPad 3 when changing the wallpapers that iOS 7 natively brings us, the tablet stays locked for about 30 seconds, without us we can do nothing.
It is clear that certain aspects of the 7th version need to be debugged and I am sure that in the coming weeks, we will have a new update to iOS 7.0.1 with us.
Regarding battery, we noticed an increase in consumption compared to what we had in iOS 6. It may also be due to the new services that are natively activated and that may consume more battery, for example, the background refresh .
In the APP STORE, we don't get used to the interface of updates. We do not like to see the list of already updated apps. We would like this to be as before and once the applications have been updated, this screen will appear completely empty.We don't get used to it.
Another CON that we add is not being able to enjoy iTunes RADIO and the iCloud Keychain with which we can manage all our passwords . We have to wait a while to be able to use these two fantastic tools.
CONCLUSION:
Overall, our opinion of iOS 7 has exceeded our expectations of it. We were somewhat reluctant to change, but now we don't regret having done it.
APPLE has taken a good step forward and has left behind an impressive design and interface that has given us so much joy and that was already somewhat obsolete. The competition is tightening and a change of this type was necessary.
But we must say that innovation at the operating system level has fallen somewhat short. We have the feeling that everything new that this new iOS brings us was already invented.
However in design, iOS 7 has wowed us.
