In it we have five buttons with which we can:
- Gear: In it we access the application settings, where we can configure the type of document storage, the options related to our email linked to the app, the configuration of the PDFs that we create with the app
- «i»: Tutorial where they explain each of the possibilities offered by this new APPerla .
- "3x": Safe mode. This option is advisable to use it when there is little light. Take 3 screenshots of the document.
- Lens: We access the image capture. In it we will take a photo of the document or text that we want to scan and then edit it.
- 4 points: Having given it permission to access our photos, this app will also be able to scan any photos we have stored on our camera roll.
HOW TO PROCEED TO COPY TEXT AND EDIT IT:
There are many uses that we can make of this application, but we opted for the option of copying text and editing it as we please.
We are very interested in the possibility of capturing documents, websites, pdfs, newspapers and having the possibility of extracting and editing them for later use in any new document.
We have to say that to have a good result of the text extraction, we must focus the image very well and not move much when capturing. In addition, we must be completely perpendicular to the document when taking the snapshot. Sometimes there are words that are not transcribed correctly, but they are few and we can correct them by hand.
To copy text we must carry out these three phases:
- Capture: We will press the "lens" button to take a photo of the text to be extracted. Once captured, click on the "USE" button.
- Adjust: A pinkish rectangle will appear and in each of the corners we will see a yellow square. We must slide these until we define the text we want to copy. Once selected, press the "PREVIEW" button.
- Editing: We will have the possibility to rotate the image with the arrows that appear at the bottom, add color or leave it in black and white, apply one of the five filters in which we can give it more or less clarity (dots on a blue background) always thinking about how the captured text is best read. After editing it, press the "NEXT" button.
- Extraction: This is the phase where we can copy text. We select the language of the text in the « OCR language » option and after that we press the « OCR « button. After a few seconds the captured text will appear and we will be able to edit it, copy it. At the bottom we see the share button (characterized with an arrow) with which we can send the image by mail in various formats.
To return to the main menu we will press the « MAIN » button and we will see that we have saved the capture on our device, which we can access whenever we want.

CONCLUSION:
We find the option to copy text and edit it as we please very interesting. It is something that we can use effectively when transcribing texts to a document.
How many times have we transcribed a text by typing the words one by one? we have always done it, but from now on Scanner OCR will help us save time in this task.
