HOW TO CONFIGURE SWIPEAWAY:
When entering the tweak we find the following screen:
In it the only option that interests us is that of « SETTINGS «. All others are for information about the developers, for donations, technical support
We enter « SETTINGS » and we find three types of configuration:
– KILL ALL APPS:
In this configuration we see 4 options:
- Enabled: Enable/Disable the function to kill all background apps.
- Gesture: Gesture to delete them swipe up, swipe down
- Auto close switcher: Activate/Deactivate the automatic closing of the bar where applications appear in the background.
- Keep listening: Activate/Deactivate the option of not deleting the music we are listening to when executing the action of deleting apps in the background.
– KILL INDIVUAL APPS:
We can:
- Enabled: Enable/Disable kill all background apps.
- Gesture: Gesture to delete them swipe up, swipe down
It has to be said that the swipe down gesture works but it's not as smooth as the swipe up gesture, especially on smaller devices. Also, if both gestures are the same in “kill all apps” and “kill individual apps”, they step on each other and the “kill all apps” option prevails.
– VIP APPS:
We can choose up to ten applications that are not affected by the gesture of eliminating applications in the background. The ones we select will never be deleted after performing the SwipeAway deletion gesture .
HOW TO DELETE BACKGROUND APPLICATIONS:
After configuring the tweak to our liking, to put it to use we will look at the apps that we have in the background. We will press the HOME button twice to see them.
If we have many and we want to delete them in one go, depending on the gesture that you have configured for it (we have configured swipe up), we will slide our finger from bottom to top over one of the applications and you will see how they all disappear and are closed automatically.
If you want to delete only one, do the same but with the gesture configured to delete only one app from the background.
CONCLUSION:
SwipeAway is the best we've found in Cydia when it comes to closing background apps.
