Abiotic is a term that is used in the biological and chemical sciences, its Etymology is made up of two words, "A" which means "Without" and "Biotic" which means "Life", therefore, the term Abiotic means " Lifeless ”. The basis on which this term is applied is complementary to what generates life on earth. Abiótico is the opposite of Biótico, but they are two elements that need each other to make up the Biotope (Bio = Life, Mole = Place).
The biotope is the place where the life of all beings on earth develops, in this environment biotic and abiotic factors meet to complete the process. An abiotic factor is the water, the sun, while the biotic factor is the animal, the human being, the plant. Abiotic factors are responsible for ensuring that the environment in which life develops is suitable, the water serves for the animal to hydrate, while the sun, the climate, regulate the temperature and environmental conditions so that the tree can the fruit and the flower open its bud.
Although it is true that abiotic organisms are not capable of producing life, they are the fundamental element from the beginning of life on earth for the sustainable development of all species. The abiotic compounds are versatile, in the most complex species dependent abiotic to conform as a living element.
