The Old Testament is the first part of the bible, the bible in turn is made up of two large compilations, the old one, which we will talk about today and the New Testament, which includes a series of letters and testimonies after the death of Jesus of Nazareth. The Old Testament are books and letters that essentially collect the main accounts of the beginning of time according to the Jews and the events that shook the Hebrew people in Egypt.
The Old Testament is made up of the following books in that same order:
Genesis: This first book explains in detail the creation of the world, animals, fruits and man, after the detachment of a rib from Adam, the emergence of the woman he called Eve. Then the sins committed by both of them by biting the forbidden apple and their expulsion from Eden. It also tells the story of the flood that swept away the sins of the world and all that Noah (the building of the ark) did to repopulate the earth. The story of the Tower of Babel is also described in Genesis, in which man in his desire to overcome God builds a huge building that will reach heaven and as punishment he sent different dialects and skin colors.
Exodus: The story of Moses and his escape from Egypt with the Hebrews, here the well-known Opening of the waters is related. After this happens the delivery of the Torah or Laws of Judaism to Moses on Mount Sinai.
Leviticus: A book that is nothing more than a compendium of laws and organizational structures for the appointment of priests in the church. All the laws to define the purity and sanctity of the representatives of the Levite groups.
Numbers: Commandments created in Sinai to be used there, the desert of Qades-Barnea and the plains of Moab.
Deuteronomy: The death of Moses and his last speech.
The New Testament is much longer than this, many more stories are also included in the historical books, wisdom books, and prophetic books.
