This word is used to define a person who does not feel any sexual interest in another, either man or woman. Therefore, he is not able to have sex with anyone. You may decide at some point to have sex with someone, but you would only do it if you wanted to have children or to please that person.
Asexuality should not be associated with celibacy or sexual abstinence, as these are generally behaviors originating from religious or personal reasons.
Asexual people, having no sexual desire for any other human being, do not conform to any known sexual orientation and, in general, are subjects who never fall in love, much less have a partner. However, they can be socially active and maintain great friendship ties with people who understand and support them. Asexuals can get married, although this does not mean that they have sexual contact with their partners.
The approval of asexuality as a sexual orientation is something completely new, so there are few references on this topic.
On the other hand, within the scope of biology, it is called asexual reproduction, where a single organism is capable of engendering other organisms. This kind of reproduction is characterized by the non-participation of the sex cells, that is, the ovules and the sperm. The organisms that have this condition are: certain plants such as algae and fungi, bacteria, protozoa, annelids.
It is an extremely simple process, in organisms of an animal nature it occurs from mitosis, a process in which the cell is fragmented into two or more cells. In the case of plants, the process originates through the spores, these are found under the leaves, when the spores mature, they are usually dispersed by the action of wind and water; so when these fall on an ideal terrain for their growth, the development process begins, giving rise to a new plant.
This type of reproduction has certain benefits: one of them is the simplicity of its process, since only one individual is involved; so the survival of the species is guaranteed. It can be said that the only drawback is the fact that since there is no genetic variation between the father and his child, the organism that originates must adapt very well to its natural environment.
