The word attribute is defined by the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy as: "the properties, characteristics or qualities of a being ". For example: "the attribute of Mary is her simplicity." However, in the Spanish language, this word has different uses. Being the physical attribute one of the best known by all.

The physical attribute of an individual is that quality of a being in particular, whether physical or identity, for example, the extroverted nature of a person is an attribute that distinguishes it from others. These attributes define the person who has them and who is often recognized for them. Such is the case of the previous example, which corresponds to a positive attribute that adds value to the subject, in terms of his personality.

In relation to physical attributes, something similar happens, they usually define and differentiate an individual. At present, physical qualities are very important to modern society, since the world is influenced by aesthetics. These characteristics or attributes, on many occasions, can determine professional careers.

An individual with a good appearance is more likely to get a good job. And if the activity is linked to the physical, such as acting or modeling, a charming image will be positive when looking for work in the entertainment and fashion industry.

On the other hand, at the level of law, an attribute is defined as those characteristics or particularities that establish the identity of a natural or legal person as holders with rights. These attributes are:

  • The name: in natural persons, it represents the set of letters that serve to recognize and individualize an individual. In legal persons, the name represents the business name.
  • Domicile: in natural persons, it refers to the domicile of the person. While for legal persons, it is the physical place where the company has its fiscal domicile.
  • Nationality: is the legal relationship that an individual has with one or more specific States.
  • Heritage: for natural persons, heritage represents all the rights and obligations that can be valued economically. As for legal persons, assets are the resources that allow them to carry out their purposes.
  • State civil: is an attribute that belongs exclusively to natural persons and represents the specific situation of some individuals in relation to their family, society and the state.
