The authority is one attribute that a person has, which is directly linked to the position or office that it exercises, being in every way the power to give orders, to have the right to do so, and the same way be rewarded with compliance with and compliance with said orders. At all times it must be based on the relationship between the superior and the subordinate, where both must be clear about the role of each person.
The role of authority will depend on the position that the individual occupies, which means that not everyone has authority over others, the subject to whom this capacity is attributed is because in some way he is considered as a kind of leader, to which special powers and attributions are granted over the rest of the people, for example the most basic role of authority is established from the home, where the parents are the ones who have this ability to give orders to the children, and it is due to that it is their responsibility to make the right decisions, and the children are obliged to comply with them, until they are old enough to make decisions for themselves.
And just as these roles are implemented from the family, they exist in different areas of life, in companies or organizations these people are willing depending on the position they have in it. But in the area where it is most important is in the political world, when it comes to the rulers of a State, who are normally elected by popular decision, and it is in this sense that authority is associated with the power they possess to be able to command and govern, always based on a series of laws that have been previously established, but at the end of the day these leaders have the legitimacy to exercise their authority over the community.
In this case it is seen as a type of legal authority, which is formal. On the other hand, it is understood that this position of command and superiority supposes in a certain sense prestige to whoever occupies this role of authority, being seen then from a moral point of view.
