A bastion is a walled section and projected out of the central axis of a fortification, it is usually located in the corners to improve the military defense of the place, so it is used for protection. They are placed in the corners to improve the protection of the area. Likewise, the term bastion is related to everything that speaks of protection or protection of something. The word comes from the Middle Dutch “bolwerc”, later it became, in Old French, balouart. the philological advancement of the element caused the word bulwark to appear in the translation of our language.
