A set of different species living or coexisting in a delimited space is identified as biocenosis, which must cover all the needs of this group of inhabitants, among these needs it can be mentioned as adequate light, temperature, humidity, etc. The biocenosis of a defined geographic space may be subject to change or very few may remain intact for long; the change of inhabitants of a biotype (place to live) is directly influenced by the change of the physical factors that they have in that community, there are mainly two terrestrial and marine biotypes.
The biocenosis can be classified according to living beings coexist, if set of different plants mentioned is given the name "phytocoenoses" , in given case coexistence mentioned among different types of animals is given the nickname " zoocenosis ” and if we go to the microscopic point of view, if the coexistence of several microorganisms within a biotype is discussed, they are known as microocenosis.
There is another classification of biocenosis in the following order:
- Polar or subpolar biocenosis: it is found in regions where a large amount of energy alone cannot be reached, therefore they are cold areas of the earth, the tundra is mentioned in this class, this is an area with little or almost no vegetation thanks because the soils are permanently frozen and as well as there is a shortage of animal population since they are forced to emigrate, in second place is the taiga in which there is more plant and animal population with respect to the tundra since It deals with wooded areas that have low temperatures.
- Temperate biocenoses: these are parts of the planet where there are four well- defined seasons as the year passes.
- Temperate and warm biocenoses: groups of living beings that coexist in a geographical area where there are only two types of seasons, which are not so well defined and there are large differences in temperature.
- Arid biocenosis: these are geographical spaces where torrential rains are rarely seen, therefore it is characterized by being dry and with high temperatures for the most part.
