It should be noted that it can be ingested both liquid and solid. In general, when the solidified caramel is consumed, it usually melts in the mouth. Today there is the peculiarity that candies can be made without sugar, through sweetenersthey can taste sweet without being overweight or damaging to teeth.

It is no secret to anyone that sweets are something that children rave about, but not only them, since those who are not so young are also attracted to them. An interesting fact is that initially the sweets did not have as main objective to sweeten our palates either for pleasure or for a simple whim. These arise due to the need of man to find a light food that could be used as food for long trips, that is, something that was small, light but also gives energy to the body.

For its part, the term candy has its origin as a result of the discovery of sugar cane, also known as "honey cane" which when translated into the Latin language would be translated as "melis cane" and in the end it would end up giving rise to the word "candy". New and better baking techniques were developed from the honey cane, however a negative point was that for several centuries it was a luxury product that was not available to everyone.

However, with the passage of time that changed, since today they can be found in candy, pastry or confectionery stores. These usually come in brightly colored wrappers, even the candy itself can be of different colors.
