In metaphysics, a chela is a student disciple of an ascended, who is absolutely dedicated to a mentoring cause and who dedicates part of his time to this sacred mission every day. This word is of Hindu origin and in ancient times it was often written and pronounced as "cheta or cheda."
Chela means "servant", a kind of follower or apprentice of a master, from whom he gets instructions. The bond that exists between the teacher and his disciple is eternally sacred, much more than the relationship between a father and a son; since while it is true that a father gives the body to the incarnating soul, it is also true that the teacher encourages said soul to be and can see, teaches it to understand and be what it is, in its deepest essence.
The life of the chelas is full of joy, of beautiful things, but it is also full of demands, which require the purest nobility of the disciple, so that all the powers of the higher being are attracted to their actions. In this way you will be able to obtain and establish all those spiritual and intellectual abilities where the masters dwell.
The reach mastery is the goal of discipleship, however should not be taken as the sole earning a profit, but as all those powers that inhabit the soul must be renewed in the service of humanity, because that is the majestic road of self-conquest.
Some of the principles or rules established to be part of the chelas are:
You must be committed to serving the master unconditionally.
The disciple must reflect on his shortcomings and work on them in order to provide a better service.
The chela must manifest his desire to serve God, collaborating with his neighbor.
A disciple should guard against negative influences every day, whether they are visible or not. and above all, he must put into practice all that he is taught.
Once accepted, the chela must go through different experiences that the teacher considers necessary, to develop and perfect the ways that the current of life uses before becoming a teacher and to pass through the glorious doors of eternal liberation..
