The vestigial tail is an excess that appears in the lower part of the back of people, its elongated shape resembles the tail of an animal, hence the analogue phenotype is established in comparison with the tail of animals. This phenomenon is very strange, very rare, in fact there are 100 cases documented around the world since the seventeenth century when this human pathology was discovered and analyzed. The term Vestigial Tail comes from the similarity of the surplus with the tail of animals and vestige, that is to say that it is nothing more than a residue of what the species once was, here an interesting debate arises about theevolution of man.
The history of mankind has always focused on an origin derived from primates, in which the conditions of the earth at that time forced the species to rise to the surface (those that were in the water) and adapt to a life in the earth. All the reference of this evolution that has been studied for centuries, indicates that the human being and many animals can conserve some vestiges of its previous version. This type of queue is a good example of this. The vestigial tail that appears in humans has neither bone structure nor marrow as is observed in animals such as dogs, cats and reptiles that are the vestigecloser to what animals were in the past. There are also other types of vestiges of our prehistoric past, some patients studied with deformations in the ears and the skull have shown a similarity with chimpanzees and monkeys.
The vestigial organs for their part are parts of our organism that do not have an essential utility for the subsistence of the human being, but that in ancient times may have been useful, an example of this type of organs is the appendix, which is no more than an extra part of the small intestine that perhaps served our herbivorous ancestors. The coccyx is also a section of the spinal cord that is extra in the human body, which surely in evolution was sectioned in this way, leaving a portion in the body.
