The term refers to clashes between military forces; Although, the word is erroneously used as a replacement for "fight" , like other similar terms, however, and taking into account that almost all refer to the same action, each of them is used to designate different types of disputes, but they are still synonymous and are, for the most part, used in the same way. Unlike combat, battles are large-scale engagements, involving a large number of combatants and weapons, so the damage they leave behind is invaluable.
Normally, the combats are characterized by having two or more rival sides who will face each other developing different tactics and gathering information about their enemies. Wars, basically, are made up of all the fights between nations, states or criminal gangs that face each other, with the winner being the party that defeats the others in the main battle or ends up taking their administrative headquarters, where all the orders to proceed with any mission.
Combats can be melee or long distance; performed the first being very close and usually the defense is launching attacks the body to the opponent, the same as using supported knives; the long distance ones, as the name dictates, are carried out being very far from the enemy and therefore firearms are used. If a discussion starts, it is taken as a verbal combat, and its structure is based on the presentation of coherent arguments on a specific topic presented by two or more parties.
