The Paris Commune took place after the development of the War Franco-Prussian War, in which they were faced French forces of Napoleon III against the soldiers of Prussia command of the Prussian Chancellor Otto von Bismarck. The Commune had a certain affinity for socialist ideals, the government of the proletariat was instituted in 1871 and it chose to establish a series of measures with the aim of forming a popular democratic power. Some of the most popular measures were: the elimination of night work, the working day was reduced, pensions were obtained for widows and orphans of the National Guard, the Church and the State were separated, among other things.
After the defeat of the Second French Empire of Napoleon III, the formation of a provisional government was carried out with the main objective of defending the nation, which they called the "Paris Commune".
