The term Correlation is used with statistical functions, to refer to the movement of two or more variables around a consequence provided by the function under study. The correlation is basically manifested when two elements have harmony in their variation, this harmony is dependent, that is, the position of the other depends on the stabilization of one. The operation of a correlation is very easy to appreciate graphically, since the lines that make it up indicate the movement of the statistic under study, if it defends or decreases constantly there is a correlation between the variables, but if it is at some point breaks down, loses consciousness.

A clear example, an investor makes a statistical and graphical analysis of his assets, takes as main variables the value of the investment, the amount that he has earned as profit and the time that he has used for it to prosper. If the sales of the product are favorable, in the stipulated time, the profits will rebound above, but with the same sense of the projection that was made initially when carrying out the calculation. Having correlation with statistics, the investor is happy, because the action is favorable, it is correlated.

The correlation in everyday life is fair game, because when an action is executed in which it is known that another will occur, there is sympathy in the system. A production line has a correlation between its functions, to run it and make the products properly, a previously established correlative order must be followed, otherwise serial production would be useless.

When it is asserted that the correlation differs from the coincidence, we make use of a more probable resource, that is, it is known that the correlation is premeditated, planned according to its impulses and worked to keep it stable. The harmony of these is always going to be sought in a mathematical function while operating, this in order to yield congruent results with the matter being studied. In fields such as physics, variables such as electric current and the space in which it occurs must maintain a constant harmonic correlation.
