Diabetes is a disease caused by the presence of high levels of sugar in the blood. Basically, diabetes reproduces itself in the body due to the lack of a hormone secreted by the pancreas called Insulin, also due to the resistance that the body can provide to said hormone. Glucose is a compound that food contains and serves as fuel for the body, in turn insulin counteracts excess glucose in the blood, administering its nutrients and proteins to muscle cells, fat and liver, thus maintaining an optimal balance in the blood and the whole body.
What conclusion do we reach with this little analysis ? In the absence of insulin to control and administer glucose in the body, the body's consumption of productive energy will be lower, thus causing a whole series of defects that lead to secondary diseases due to low energy in the body. People with diabetes have hyperglycemia, because their body cannot move sugar in fat, liver, and muscle cells to be stored for energy.
There are three main types of diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes can occur at any age, but is most often diagnosed in children, teens, or young adults. In this disease, the body produces little or no insulin. Daily insulin injections are necessary. The exact cause is unknown.
Type 2 diabetes makes up the majority of diabetes cases. It occurs most often in adulthood, but adolescents and young adults are being diagnosed with it due to high rates of obesity. Many people with type 2 diabetes do not know they have it.
Gestational diabetes is hyperglycemia that develops at any time during pregnancy in a woman who does not have good hormonal development and control of her metabolism.
High blood sugar levels can cause several symptoms including: Blurred vision, Excessive thirst, Fatigue, Frequent urination, Hunger, Weight loss.
