Divine, is a term used to express a characteristic of the Gods that a religion contemplates. When a being is called Divine, it means that it has special powers, it is considered a divinity because that Supernatural being performed actions that no being on earth has performed before. The Catholic religion presents us with an all powerful God who in 7 days created the world according to theology, this is considered a divine act and therefore worthy of praise from his followers.
The stories told about the gods or characters that are divinities for a society, do not have verifiable, palpable evidence, since they are so old that only small vestiges of history remain, confirmed by the institution that is responsible for the doctrine. The divine is heavenly, the heavenly is invisible, no material response can be obtained from these characters, only actions that are the product of faith are recognized as proper acts of devotion to the divine
In other streams of ideas the term Divine spreads the same quality on who is used, we refer to another field not related to religion. Since the word as such is capable of describing an object, person or situation that presents surprising, outstanding and high value characteristics. It is common to hear that this word is used as a feminine idiom, thanks to the etymology of the grapheme which is preferred by women to refer to something beautiful, pleasant or that causes a sensation.
There are three different uses for the word divinity, which it would be possible to superimpose or integrate:
In reference to the one and absolute God of monotheistic religions, or a god of polytheistic religions, or another entity similar to a god. In reference to powers, forces, energies, laws or truths that are universal and that transcend human capabilities. In reference to the qualities of individuals or of the human being if it is considered that it has a special access to, or is part of, the divine. Divinity as force or power, refers to the operation of a transcendental power in the world.
