Formal education is divided according to the needs of each country or region and according to the characteristics of its citizens. Although, one of the most common features is primary education, taking into account the importance it has for the development of a nation. When the term primary education is used, it is to refer to a type of education that is taught to the younger population and is considered the most important, since it consolidates the bases for a more complex education such as secondary or university.
Primary education is also known as elementary education, since it is the first and consists of six established and structured years. It starts from the age of five and six until approximately twelve years of age. Some countries require that children receive a primary education and in many cases it is necessary for parents to intervene in the learning process.
This education so essential for the person is established around the knowledge that is considered most elementary for the development of the region. Children between the ages of six and twelve learn to read and write, as well as to perform basic mathematical operations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
This knowledge that becomes more complex as the levels are surpassed, young people receive the title of primary education with which they can access the secondary level and then the university. It has been shown that in the last years of primary education, the degrees seek to add more information and knowledge about other subjects such as history, geography, literature, among others, which over time will be much more complex depending on the degree in which it is found student.
