The term shin derives from the diminutive of the word "thorn" and this comes from the Latin "spina" which means splinter or thorn, and it comes from the Indo-European root "spei" which means "pointed". This word has two main meanings according to the Spanish Royal Academy, one of them to refer to the front area of the tibia or shin of the leg. And the other possible meaning is attributed to the granite of fat that appears on the skin due to the accumulation of fat.. Also known as pustules, pimples or dots, pimples are wounds or inflammatory lesions that appear on the skin due to infection of the sebaceous glands, that is, these black or white dots appear when a fat follicle becomes clogged. It should be noted that these glands exist in all areas of the skin except on the soles of the hands and feet.
These pimples are one of the main manifestations of acne, they also appear mainly during puberty, in different areas of the body such as the face, back, chest, among other areas. The causes of the appearance of pimples can be due to puberty since during this there is a noticeable increase in hormones, therefore there is an increase in the secretion of fat in order to care for and protect the skin of an individual. Also the manifestation of these can be due to genetic factors, a hereditary predisposition to suffer this alteration can be generated for those people whose antecedents have already suffered it; and finally another cause is poor diet, as ingesting foods high in fat could cause or worsen this condition.
