When talking about fanaticism, reference is made to the passionate behavior of the fanatic. This is an attitude that is manifested with excessive, irrational, excessive passion and in many cases it is presented in defense of an idea, theory, lifestyle, culture, among others. On the other hand, the fanatic is a person who euphorically defends and exaggerates his beliefs, ideas and opinions, regarding some issue, it also applies to those individuals who are blindly enthusiastic or concerned about something special. According to some experts, fanaticism represents one of the greatest dangers in today's society, however it is not a new problem, since practically from the very origins of men it has beenpresent, both in aspects such as religion and in politics and sports.

With regard to religious fanaticism specifically, it is positioned as one of the oldest and most controversial.One of the characteristics that stands out the most is its lack of absolute questioning, since they are generally orthodox believers, and they admit the dogmas of a way that can be very dangerous. Some of the behaviors of religious extremists can include actions such as self-flagellation, also large massacres, such as attacks, among others. Religious fanaticism is currently seen as one of the great evils the world must deal with. A clear example of this evil is Muslim fanaticism, which implies the sacrifice of the fanatic's own life, with the aim of obtaining a life beyond this world.

As far as political fanaticism is concerned, it is a very similar variant in terms of the fanatic's own structure, however this time it is in the party, which is usually under the figure of a leader with great charisma, where the fanatic he finds the total and absolute meaning of life, where he also takes the cause as his own and maintains it regardless of the consequences.

Experts in psychology affirm that fanaticism occurs thanks to the need for security that most people present, who precisely lack insecurity. It can be said that it is a kind of compensation that responds to a feeling of inferiority.
