The word phony is used as a qualifier for those people who pretend to be what they are not, or appear to have feelings that they do not feel. Fakers are generally lying subjects who always act under deception. They are people who perhaps feel comfortable with their life and prefer to invent one, which they consider a perfect life.
This negative behavior can generate the victims of deception, a deep disappointment, when they realize that they have been mocked by a fraud.
On the other hand, in the theatrical field, a fake is an actor who is part of a farce. Farces are theatrical works of the comedy genre that are distinguished by showing unusual arguments but marked by reality approaching the grotesque, where the characters are handled in an extravagant and unusual way. Despite this, the farce has a kind of link with the real context, which is precisely that, which makes it appreciate more credible and the audience can feel identified with each of the characters.
Usually farces are made with the object of making criticism of society, of course, giving a touch of humor, allowing criticism being expressed, not resulting from the overwhelming everything to the viewer, but rather allow them to laugh at a particular situation. And it is precisely because of that touch of humor and irony, that farce always represented a great challenge for playwrights and that if it is successful, it means great merit for its creator.
