Pathophysiology is one of the most elementary disciplines of general medical studies. It consists of the analyzes and observations that are made to the living being (not only humans and animals, but also to the flora) from the clinical aspect. The term is made up of two more, "Physio" which means "Body" and "Pathology" which refers to "Disease". In physiopathology, the body of the species is not only studied to determine the classes of diseases or to determine the physiognomy of the organs, it is also done to capture the different morphologies and deformations of the organism as well as to observe the behavior of this against any medication or treatment that is being implemented.

Pathophysiology is part of almost all the chairs that are taught in medicine, the different specialties of medicine always deal with pathophysiology, this is due to how basic and elemental it is. It is especially developed in:

  • Anatomy: As we have already said, to study the shape and position of the organs
  • Genetics: Obstetrics and related branches evaluate the formation of the fetus in order to predict any problem or disease that can be attacked before delivery, the answer is crucial and the outcome can be significant in this matter.
  • Cell Biology: Living beings are in constant evolution, that is why a part of the scientific studies is destined to monitor the control of the cells of the different organisms present on the planet.
  • Pharmacology: The appearance or return of diseases in society is variable but sure, the science of medicines must study what it faces to combat directly with the appropriate component.
  • It is important to note that medical science in recent years has faced various pandemics that have thousands of lives around the world. The pathophysiology as a basic discipline therefore is always updated when data for diseases and new diseases are appearing. Pathophysiology carries out its studies at all levels of scientific research: cellular, subcellular, molecular and tissue, that is, the study of the various tissues with which an organ can be composed.
