What is photonews? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

A photo published in a mass media of a graphic type is called photonews, whose main characteristic is the impact and the information it causes among users, without the need for the text that complements it to be taken into account. In general, this title is usually a little longer than what could be seen in an ordinary photo of an article, but without reaching such an extensive length. The main objective of a photo news is that it reveals by itself a considerable amount of information, a fact that only requires some explanations that put it in context, but that should not be extended too much.

It is very common that this type of article is complemented by a short text, in general the text that accompanies the photonoticias is shorter than the one that is placed on a traditional photo in the newspaper, this is because the photonoticia is able to express the information in a concrete and forceful way.

Due to the aforementioned, it is possible to describe the photonews as an image, which even without the corresponding accompaniment of information, that is, of a note, an article has the ability to show, in any case, informative validity by itself, thank you to the forcefulness presented by the fact or the person who is portrayed in it, since basically in a photo news what is sought to highlight is the graphic fact and for this reason the wording that could be attached is no longer too important, since By itself, the image alone represents news value.

Unlike the traditional, that is to say a long text accompanied by a rather small illustrative photograph that has a caption of a specific line, in photonews, the normal thing is to use much longer captions, of a text no longer than 15 lines and that also includes a title that may not exceed the composition line. On the other hand, since it is a photo that already implies a news event, it will not be necessary for the title in question to show an informative nature, thus allowing greater freedom when choosing the title.
