The word generation comes from the Latin generatio; "Generate" which means to engender, conceive or produce, and the suffix "tion" of action and effect, which has several meanings. Among them, the act of procreating or conceiving a human being. This term can also be used for the action and effect of generating, producing or propagating, either a product or a phenomenon as such. In terms of family, it refers to a series of people born in a gradual or successive order, that is, this phenomenon occurs within the same family group, such as parents, grandparents, great-great-grandparents, among others.
The term generation can be attributed to a group of people or a society who share a common era, that is, born in this same or of the same age or in a chronological order with similar historical experiences or who share a culture or belief. The concept of generation can also be applied to a series of electronic or other devices of origin, manufactured in the same period of time and which have similar characteristics.
This concept applies in terms of creation; to the action and effect of generating new things, elements or objects or establishing and designing them, for this and among many other things we use this concept of generation. As it works for the aspect of generating work for an existing community that works in a company as such to eliminate poverty and improve the quality of life in a country or region, we speak of the generation of employment.
