What is hater? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

Hater, a term from the English language, refers to the person who is dedicated, through social networks or online communities, to discriminate, denigrate or offend an organization, person or product. The reason for which they carry out these activities can vary, but, usually, racial or gender hatred is the guardian. Its use in our language has been increasing due to the influence of social interaction platforms on the internet, because in this way subjects who do not feel fond of, for example, a band, an artist or a social movement are qualified.

Haters try to send destructive criticism both to the object of their hatred and to people who, unlike him, sympathize with it. Usually, they proclaim their idea regarding this individual or collectivity, as the only ideology that can be considered correct. Some haters go down the path of racism, in which they seek to offend the culture, typical physical features and geographic location of a nation or, equally, they can attack people who have different bodily characteristics; They also make targets of their ridicules to people of low social class, with few economic possibilities.

Contrary to what one might think, a hater is aware of the activities carried out by the entity to which his hatred is directed. In this way, following his behavior pattern, he will devise some grievance to defame and destroy the reputation of the individual in question. Hatred directed at public figures is a practice that can be distinguished from ancient times; although, beyond the fact of not appreciating the artists' works, this abhorrence only seeks to destroy, in some way, the person or community.
