It is about the quality that does not allow an object or person to be considered legal, it was conceived with benevolence, that is, its creation and existence have been the product of a series of facts, which are characterized by being structured with doubtful facts. However, it is also used to describe an object that does not enjoy transparency or its creators lack honesty. Mostly, this is seen as an unappealing and somewhat offensive quality, professing that the object is not founded under strict moral laws.

Among the most common uses of the term, is the case of illegitimate children, who are the result of the extramarital relationship that one of the two components of the husband-wife union may have. It is considered illegal because, at the moment of being conceived, one of the most important principles imposed by morality and principles when it comes to marrying would be broken: the requirement to be faithful to the man or woman with whom one is united to always. As such, children born under these circumstances are known as a bastard, although it has been seen, in current days, as an insult towards any individual.

In the legal field, for its part, illegitimate is a term normally used to list all the crimes committed, also known as infractions, because they are breaking some express stipulation in the law. One of the most common cases is that of illegitimate seizure, which is characterized by being a situation in which an object, in the possession of a certain person, is seized using illegal resources, which is why its ownership is disputed in court.
