Anonim

The term inauguration is a kind of event or celebration, which is carried out frequently in many cultures and whose purpose is to celebrate the beginning or the opening of something in particular, it can be for example, the opening of a building, of a commercial premises, a monument, a hospital, school, etc. In other words, when referring to the word inauguration, the debut of something is being indicated.

The inaugurations can be carried out publicly, that is, the press is invited to cover the event, or it can be carried out in a private way, with close people, without much.

This term descends from the ancient rituals that the Romans performed when one of them entered the college of augurs or when they began to look for a site to build a public building. In this sense, an opening act consisted of being guided by what the augurs had said regarding the good conditions of the site.

In the opening ceremonies, a symbolic ceremony is held where a red ribbon is cut, to then give way to the reading of a speech that has been prepared for such an event.

For example, when an art gallery opens, the person in charge of it, that is, the artist in question, is in charge of cutting the ribbon and saying a few words. After saying the speech, the doors are opened to the audience so that they can appreciate the works of art.
