Infection is a process in which repopulation of a set of organisms or external agents that are introduced into the body occurs, in the field of medicine these organisms are known by the host name and are considered harmful agents of quite relevant for the health of those who acquire them, and may even harm the proper functioning, survival and development of the aforementioned organism. These foreign organisms to the body can enter the body through different access routes, such is the case of skin lesions, through the respiratory tract (noseand mouth), which generates in the infected person various changes in their organs and their functions, these agents move throughout the body as well as their waste through blood or lymph transport routes.
It can then be said that an infection is a kind of colonization of external agents to another determined organism. Something that you should be aware of is that the multicellular organisms in their entirety at some point in their life, will present this type of colonization, however, it is important to point out that this process can sometimes be taken as a symbiotic relationship in where neither of the organisms involved will be adversely affected by the other. However, when abnormalities such as irritation or pain occur in this process It is then when one is in the presence of an infection, where a fight will be triggered between the organism responsible for the infection and the host, which must prevent external agents from multiplying.
For a symbiotic relationship to become an infection, a series of processes must occur and a set of specific circumstances must occur. The first thing is the entry of microorganisms into the body, then their incubation will occur, from that moment the level or degree of the infection will depend on the amount of microorganisms that have multiplied and the waste or toxins that have spread through of the body. Viruses, fungi and bacteria are among the main responsible for infections.
