What is private information? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

Information, according to the conception provided by the field of journalism and data dissemination, is a series of key elements that make up a text, called a document or file, whose main purpose is to make known what it houses within itself. It is supposed to go deep enough into the topic to provide a clear and detailed view on the matter. Similarly, this can become public or private, the latter being the one that limits its access to a small group of people.

Private information is one of the most sensitive fibers when it comes to the effective safeguarding of this data, since it is of this nature because if it is disseminated or is consulted by a person who does not have access to it, it can generate a series of problems, affecting in various aspects a company or an individual. An example of this are bank transaction documents, considered personal in a typical case, being these in an indisputable quality of manipulative, which would provide the wrongdoer with a tool to illegally control the finances of the affected person.

However, there are cases in which these documents can even affect national security, so the corresponding government decides to keep them secret; because of this, it is of utmost importance to keep them out of the public eye. In a large part of the nations, various laws have been adopted that support the privacy of various types of information, and it is illegal to consult them without their prior permission.
