Internet Explorer (IE) is a web browser that was created by the Microsoft company in 1995, exclusively for Microsoft Windows operating systems, since its creation, it has become one of the most widely used Internet browsers, reaching its peak of users between 2002 and 2003, however with the passing of the years and the appearance of new competences such as Google Chrome, its number of users decreased precipitously, for this reason the entrepreneurs of the Microsoft company announced that Starting with the Windows 10 version, it would be replaced by Microsoft Edge.
This browser was brought to the market for the first time in 1995, as a complement to Microsoft Plus, for the Windows 95 operating system, after this it was implemented for free in some OEM versions of Windows 95 and was finally included in By default in subsequent versions of Windows, Spyglass Inc. would be prevented from paying royalties, leading to a lawsuit against Microsoft for which it had to cancel a series of multi-million dollar damages.
Some of the most outstanding characteristics of this browser was that it allowed the search of all kinds of information, in addition to having a system of tabs that could move horizontally and that also offered the possibility of having several pages open at the same time in just one window, another thing was that it had the ability to save in its database the pages that the user visited most frequently and for certain easier searches since it suggested the pages as the words were entered in the search bar. Another feature that can be highlighted in IE offered the possibility of automatically reducing the number of pages to be printed, preventing the content from being discarded due to lack of space on the sheet.
In recent times and with the arrival of new alternatives, Internet Explorer, received many criticisms regarding search speed and its vulnerability with respect to security.
