Anonim

The word irritability comes from the Latin "irritabilitas", which means a response to being easily moved or irritated with a certain degree of violence, it is also considered as a behavior that a living being has to react to a stimulus.

Every living being has a regulation mechanism that allows it to respond to stimuli (sounds, smells, images, etc.), when these regulation mechanisms fail, there is some difficulty and irritability appears which can occur internally (they occur within the organism) or external (comes from the environment that surrounds them).

In the case of human beings, irritability can be conscious and unconscious and includes a homeostatic capacity (the ability to maintain a stable internal condition) that allows them to respond to stimuli that damage their state or well-being. It can be manifested with uncontrollable verbal or physical aggressiveness. An irritable person tends to reflect a bad mood, does not control his impulses, is rude etc.

Psychological irritability comprises altered behavior in a person, it is usually related to aggressiveness, hostility, bad temper, anger, or intolerance. The time that this type of irritability can last depends on each individual and the tools they use to get out of that situation; If irritability persists for a long time, it is necessary to go to a professional (psychologist) who will help the individual therapeutically until he regains his inner balance.

Finally, it is necessary to mention that irritability can occur in some organs of the human being, sometimes irritability in the eyes, skin, airways, respiratory, in the muscular tissue, in the intestine etc.
