The word hierarchy comes from the Greek "hieros" which means sacred, divine and "arkhei" means order or government; therefore hierarchy means "sacred order". But this is a process by which the different types, categories, and powers are classified and organized, accompanying a very important precept. This term can be attributed to a person who holds a valuable position within an organization. When mentioning hierarchy we refer to a qualitative and quantitative order, to higher or lower entities or individuals, we speak of a scale of different rungs to a series of things, whether they are concrete or not, where the one that is in the upper rung is considered superior, stronger, successful, etc. and has power over others.
The hierarchy constitutes an ascending or descending order; and this terminology is usually fully associated with power, which is the ability and talent to be in command. Also hierarchy is defined as a set of individuals that belong to the same rank or category within an organization or entity as such. On the other hand, it also refers to a being with a higher rank who occupies or exercises a position of vital importance in a particular company.
There are different types of hierarchy, as the social hierarchy is the order that is established between the different social classes, depending on their economic and political power. There is also the hierarchy of jurisdiction, this is what the church grants or grants to govern its believers or followers. And finally this word other times emphasizes a set of categories and levels existing in a teaching church.
