For some it is highly anticipated, for others it comes as a surprise, the truth is that every worker gets his retirement sooner or later. This means exempting from service for reasons of old age or physical impossibility a person who works or has worked in a job, granting him a life pension or a reward for the services rendered.

Represents the administrative act by which a worker who is active, goes into inactivity, self-employed or employed, that is, after reaching the maximum age or due to disability or serious chronic disease.

Retirement is an acquired right, that is, it cannot be revoked by any other law, by the acquirer or by third parties, be they natural persons, public or private entities.

For politics, retirement can be one of the best symbols of the social policy implemented today, as it is a policy of meeting between all the parties that make up a society, since they are respecting and valuing the work and dedication they have a person during his life, not being disadvantaged but rather supported his passage through the third age.

From a psychological point of view, every worker has to be prepared to assume retirement, since for those who are not really, it can cause a strange feeling of emptiness and helplessness, leaving them few options to answer what to do now. Well accustomed to a daily work routine and the habits that revolved around them, without them they are involved in a resounding change in lifestyle, where new customs must be adopted.

For some the aforementioned is a great relief, as they feel that they are entering a time where they will enjoy greater comfort, while for others, this situation can be extremely stressful, leading some to even fall into a depressive picture.

That is why a person must be planned, have a life project and know how to position themselves in each stage of life, because precisely that is what retirement represents, a stage or section of our journey.

Retirement leaves work behind as the central day-to-day occupation, giving way to its replacement by activities that can leave the person equally satisfied.

This stage does not mean that the person becomes useless, on the contrary, for a positive mind it represents a personal and deep commitment, where the capacities that are possessed through their own projects will be developed, where affective and social relationships are involved.
