A laptop is a light weight and size laptop, its size is approximate that of a portfolio (there are smaller ones like Palmtop and Handheld). This belongs to the group of personal computers, which are relatively small and inexpensive computer systems, also called microprocessors.
The laptop is a team composed of a liquid screen, powered by batteries or alternating current, it can last more than two hours of operation, it is light (usually weighs less than 12 pounds), it has an integrated keyboard, touch panel to handle the pointer instead mouse, among other features.
As it is a true personal computer, it is not to be left in the hands of other people. The laptop is ideal for those who want to move their work from the office to the home and back, for those who give presentations or are frequent travelers, for university students, researchers, people who live or work oppressed in confined spaces, etc.
Today many users use it at home as a means of communication, entertainment, leisure and education, leaving aside the desktop computer. Its popularity is due to its portability and performance.
A laptop can do much the same as a desktop computer, with extensive memory, enormous capacity, large monitors, and highly advanced processors. It only has the limitation that they are not easy to update (hardware).
In the last decade, the price of portable personal computers (previously prohibitive) has dropped considerably, and the value they have for consumers on the go has increased. Both factors also play a role in the surprising phenomenon of laptop popularity.
Since the first laptop (the Osborne) was unveiled in 1981, there have been numerous computers in this portable genre that have appeared over the years. Many manufacturers are producing and developing new equipment that is ever faster and more powerful, leaving their predecessors behind. And as technology advances, prices become more competitive to the point that anyone can own a laptop.
