What is language? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

The language (of the lenguatgea Provencal and the latter of the lingua Latin); It is said of any type of structured code, which is used in a context of use and certain formal combinatorial principles where there are both natural and artificial contexts. The language is made possible by diverse and complex functions performed by the brain. These are related to what is called intelligence and linguistic memory. The complexity of language is one of the great differences that separate man from the rest of the animals; because although the latter also communicate with each other, they do so through instinctual means related to different conditions that have little relationship with any type of intelligence such as human.

The origin of language is unknown, despite this, the only thing that can be affirmed is that it is absolutely impossible to define it with certainty, because it is a human faculty that constantly evolves when new needs for expression arise. In this way, there is no language that can be said complete, because there is no one that manages to express all the sensations, feelings and ideas that human beings feel, it is even so varied that it could be said that its language is based on interaction it has had this with the different cultural manifestations present in many societies around the world. It is also important to know the technical characteristics of the language, which together add up to aproductive understanding capacity for this breed: Starting with the form, language, morphology and phonology of the word and the syntax and context in which it is applied in order to give it a structure in semantics that is nothing more than a platform of communication in which it is given an appropriate use and is interpreted according to what is established in the region that we treat.

Finally, as human beings we have been able to develop different ways of studying the languages of other living beings that inhabit the earth together with us. A nice example: the sound emitted by whales when they approach the coasts, this phonology tells female whales that the male has the intention of mating and a series of songs are produced in which they perform their customary act of reproduction.
