What is rain? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

Rain is called the process by which water rushes from the sky as a result of the natural procedure called the water cycle, thanks to which this natural element found in lakes and rivers evaporates and rises to the atmosphere, condensing. and becoming clouds that will release the liquid again in the form of rain in another region.

Likewise, rain is of great importance in terrestrial life, since it purifies the water, because when it evaporates, all polluting elements that may exist are dissociated, and then precipitate as clean and pure water. There is a variant of this that is called acid rain, in this case the water that falls in the form of rain is contaminated and is harmful to human, animal and plant life, however, this variant only occurs when the air through the which the water vapor is transported, is seriously contaminated as a consequence of different industrial activities caused by humans.

Water is one of the most important natural elements for life on Earth, reason why the rain is essential to maintain a biological balance on the planet, however, all extremes are bad, since, in cases in which the precipitated water accumulates large amounts of this precious liquid, floods or troughs can occur that in the end are extremely dangerous for humans and animals. Even so, mother nature is independent and intelligent and the times this happens, it is because it has been necessary to maintain the aforementioned balance.

On the other hand, the water accumulated in the clouds does not always precipitate in liquid form, since there are cases in which the water vapor coming from lakes, rivers or the sea, collides with a cold front on its way to the atmosphere., causing the clouds in the sky to have a greater condensation as a result of low temperatures, which causes the water that falls to fall in solid form, forming snow or in more extreme cases, hail.
