The term lumpemproletariat is a word of German origin, based on Marxist philosophy, defining itself as the economically marginalized population, from the point of view of their working and living conditions; formed by classless people who carry out activities outside the law in order to survive. The lumpemproletariat is a part of the population that does not have the means of production, nor do they have a stable job, they only dedicate themselves to living off charity, theft and the waste that other social classes throw away (homeless, criminals, prostitutes).
Karl Marx referred to the lumpemproletariat as a sector of society, who have been denied a legal way to earn a living, for which it has been necessary to succumb to the areas of crime and the conditions that prevail in these. At present, this group is made up of those who earn their livelihood from robbery, drug trafficking, kidnappings, food resellers, charleros (people who get on buses to ask for money), beggars etc., all This proliferation of lumpenproletariat is a consequence of the mismanagement that government entities have had at an economic level.
Many of the people located within this segment of society are from rural areas, who, hoping to improve their lives, decide to try their luck in the cities, however, when they arrive they realize that it is much more difficult to what they thought. The awareness of their marginalization leads them to easily fall into disrespectful and even illegal activities.
