As the real Spanish academy describes it, the word curse is described as an imprecation that is directed against someone or something, expressing and revealing its anger and aversion towards that, and I wish that some kind of harm would come to it. This word is of Latin origin and comes from the word "maledictio"; with lexical components such as "male" which means badly or badly, and "decire" which means to say, plus the popular suffix "cion" alluding to action and effect. It is a claim that is exposed aloud, containing in it an acute desire that the worst happen to the cursed person.

In the religious world, a curse can be interpreted as a spiritual burden, a presence or spirit that pursues and stalks a person from one place to another, a burden or annoyance that they carry with them most of the time, and all this burden has consequences for being human who possesses it, and those around him, as destructive and highly negative effects.
